BASICC was formed in 2008 following a public meeting of residents and business owners. We work on a programme of projects that fall under the headings of Enterprise, Community and Tourism.
Key projects for us in the past have been: partnering Donegal County Council in the ‘SEED’ project, which will develop a new public plaza in the heart of the towns, an enterprise space at the old Ritz and a new multi-story car park; developing a Riverside walk along the side of McCumhaill park; putting music speakers on the streets etc.
We welcome everyone. Start-ups. Micro-businesses. Remote workers. Virtual communities. Come join our village.
The BASE was BASICC’s first flagship project and was established to support and encourage start-ups and microbusinesses in the Twin Towns area, with the aim of creating jobs and encouraging investment.
We promise we won’t talk to you about networking or force you to join in. But we will invite you to lunch, and make you a cup of tea. We’ll chat about what’s going on and where you can get help. We’ll add you to our Whatsapp group (if you want) where you can problem solve or co-create with the village.
Are you an entrepreneur or start-up looking for a place to grow your ideas and your business? You have a special place in our heart here at The BASE.
