The BASE Enterprise Centre Manager, Donna Maskery was delighted to welcome a delegation of business representatives to The BASE Enterprise Center on 9th May 2014. The group were visiting Donegal with the aim of establishing business links between potential partners in Ireland and Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to their visit to The BASE they attended a seminar on 8th May at CoLab in Letterkenny.

The Donegal Massachusetts Economic Enterprise Development Seminar was also attended by Seamus Neely, Manager of Donegal County Council, Michael Heaney, Director of Services and Minister of State Dinny McGinley TD. Donna represented The BASE at the event where she informed the group of the aims and objectives of The BASE with the goal of creating new links and opportunities for the Ballybofey-Stranorlar Enterprise Centre.

Speakers at the seminar in Letterkenny included Jon Mahoney, Executive Director of the Boston Irish Business Association (BIBA)  and Tim Murray, President & CEO Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce among other speakers from both Ireland and Massachusetts. The seminar was a great success with many Donegal business people attending and participating in a very positive Q&A session with the panel. The panel will continue their tour of Donegal today visiting other businesses in the county and experiencing some of the many wonderful tourist attractions on offer here.
